Week 29: One more halibut in BolungarvíkMonday July 16, Iceland Sea Angling's guest Erwin Angst from Schömberg experienced the so far most spectacular catch of his life. In Ísafjörður a 148 cm long and 37 kg big halibut bit Erwin`s bait. Three attempts to haul the fish on board were not successful as the halibut rushed down all the 55 meters to the ground. Effort number four was though crowned with success, and the crew welcomed the fish with exultation. Tight lines! Erwin Angst and friends are already looking forward to exciting fishing tours next year.
Thusday 19. july, guide Kai Biala and group Haase from went for a fishing tour from Súðavík. The quite windy weather did not stop them to have a good catch: Several cod of more than 10 kilos were caught during the trip.
